POSITION SUMMARY:
The Asia Pacific Market Development Manager for Compact Machine Solutions is responsible for developing and implementing the regional sales, marketing and market access strategy to position RA as the most valued source of mid-size PLCs and associated automation components via the Compact Machine Solutions Program.
FUNCTIONAL
1. Responsible for meeting & exceeding the AOP target for Compact Machine Solutions in Asia Pacific Region
2. Development of knowledge and marketing resources for Micro and small PLC Applications for the Integrated Architecture. Broadly share this knowledge across the organization to align businessproduct plans with these market opportunities.
3. Collaborate with Business Unit and Sales Resources to translate the current and future customer requirements for Compact Machine Solutions applications into Product and System Specifications.
4. Collaborate with Commercial Marketing team to leverage application successes into commercial campaigns.
5. Collaborate with corporate Logix/NetLinx Management team to align regional sales and marketing strategies with companywide Compact Machine Solutions growth strategy
6. Utilize industry and market knowledge to develop and implement an annual Compact Machine Solutions sales and marketing plan to achieve regional revenue objectives
7. Ensure implementation of key Compact Machine Solutions commercial programs via collaboration with regional Marketing Program Managers & OEM Program Manager.
8. Identify regional sales development needs and drive implementation of Compact Machine Solutions sales competency programs and sales tools via collaboration with regional and corporate sales support personnel
9. Assist sales force in identifying and meting requirements to close orders at strategic OEMs, Sis and on major project opportunities
10. Communicate regional market data i.e. competitive information, trends, key wins/losses, and product development needs to appropriate BU Marketing team.
BUSINESS
1. Assists the corporate Compact Machine Solutions marketing and sales team in duties required to achieve Global objectives.
2. Develops and communicates market data for Compact Machine Solutions PLC applications to appropriate business unit marketing team.
3. Invests time in building and disseminating knowledge of Regional Compact Machine Solutions Industry trends, customer issues, competition, etc.
4. Engage marketing and field sales organizations to achieve business unit objectives for annual sales and rapid adoption of new technology/products within assigned strategic applications.
1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
2. Minimum of ten years Marketing, Sales, and/or Application Engineering experience in Industrial Automation
3. Strong working knowledge of automation market, customer requirements, and ability to describe complete machine system architectures, solutions, and services
4. Global customer and sales channel experience
