FUNCTION:
■Is responsible for the entire hotel operations. His/Her scope of responsibilities covers the financial results (revenues cost of sales, payroll & related expenses, other expenses, departmental incomes, gross operating income, gross operation profit, new & replacement investments etc.), adherence to Ibis brand standards of product and service and ISO system, management of human resources, and Sales & Marketing strategy.
■Welcoming and communicating with the guests
■Making sure the 15 minutes guarantee contract and ISO will be well running in the hotel
■Cooperate with service vendors and follows Ibis service standards to meet customers' satisfaction
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
■Is responsible for the quality of the product
■Controls hotel technical aspects
■Chooses and manages the suppliers
■Has the staff adhere to the Ibis product spirit
■Is responsible for the application of the inspection norms established by the Head Office
■Establishes the operating budget and financial forecast which s/he negotiates with his/her Operation Director
■Optimizes the operating profit by permanent control of every account of the statement
■Provides in due course all legal and internal documents
■Keeps in proper shape all permanent assets of the hotel by a regular maintenance program and the forecast of investments described in the
budget and submitted to the Operation Director
■Keeps in perfect functioning shape all equipments by establishing a preventive maintenance program
■Looks into decoration aspects of the hotel in order to create a pleasant atmosphere for the customers keeping in mind the Ibis product spirit and in coordination with the advice services of the technical team
ADMINISTRATIVE AND LEGAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
■Is responsible for the proper maintenance of all administrative and legal
documents (books, staff, salaries, medical, labor inspection, security controls…)
■Is responsible for submitting in due course all accounting documents of the hotel. They should be accurately and properly kept
■Is responsible for the application of laws on security and safety, labor, protection of customers, hygiene, etc. should have at all time an updated legal information book
■Is responsible for maintaining all administrative procedures enforced by the Head Office
HUMAN AND PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
■Is responsible for the staff turnover planning, recruitment of head of departments with the approval of the Operation Director and all the employees of the hotel with the advice of the head of departments
■Is in charge of the evolution of the career of his/her subordinates
■Defines job descriptions and sets goals to each head of department
■Is responsible for adhering to the salaries policies set on a regional basis with Operation Director
■Decides rewards, sanctions and dismissals with the approval of the Operation Director
■Organizes appraisal and assessment meetings with the head of departments
■Ensures that the information flow reaches all levels of hierarchy quantitatively and qualitatively
■Looks carefully into the good coordination between all departments
■Develops creativity and participation among his/her team
■On a regional basis, participates with the training manager to the elaboration of the training plan for heads of departments, employees of the hotels and conducts some training session
■Represents the group by his overall attitude towards customers and staff
■Ensure that the Accor Human Resources values and tools are communicated via a staff notice board: latest career opportunities, employee benefits (Carte Bienvenue), Innovaccor, latest news, and other intrahotel information
COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
■Is the public relation of the group on the local market
■In cooperation with the Operation Director elaborates sales & marketing strategies
