With headquarter in UK, the group company designs, markets and produces consumer electronic products and has a contract manufacturing operation in Shenzhen. The operation in Shenzhen supplies both to group companies and third parties with manufactured product. To cope with its fast expansion and commitment in China, they are now looking for a Financial Controller to lead its accounting and finance operations.
Position Overview
The Financial Controller will be based in Shenzhen with some travel to UK head office.
Reporting directly to CEO from UK, the FC will be responsible for all financial reporting / forecasting / budgeting and financial management of the businesses, as well as supporting the CEO on projects to develop manufacturing contract opportunities for the Chinese business. Managing the Chinese reporting accountant and reviewing the systems and controls that operates there. He/she will also oversee IT systems.
Candidate Specification
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or related discipline. CICPA or ACCA or other professional accountancy certification required. Big Four Accounting firms experience is not a must but an advantage.
- At least eight (8) years finance / accounting experience with practical knowledge of management reporting, consolidation, forecasting / budgeting. Statutory reporting, dealing with auditors is preferred.
- Previous experience with multinational in a manufacturing industry and understanding of accounting for manufacturing processes is desirable. Experience of ERP system, PRC Customs experience preferred.
- As a senior staff in the management team, the successful candidate should be an individual who can work well with the team and under minimal supervision.
- Fluency in English is required.
