Applicants should be scholars with outstanding achievements and extensive academic recognition by international peers, such as laureates of Nobel Prize, winners of Turing Award, Fields Medal or other international awards, academicians of the Academy of Sciences or the Academy of Engineering of developed countries, and other international top scholars.

Positions including Qiushi Distinguished Professor, Qiushi Distinguished Professor for Teaching, Qiushi Distinguished Clinician, Qiushi Distinguished Engineer, Qiushi Distinguished Scholar for Think Tank, etc. Applicants with full professorship (or an equivalent title) in a prominent university (Qiushi Distinguished Clinician requires both professor and chief physician in principle); with recognized academic achievements in his/her field of study and capability of leading the discipline to catch up or maintain the international advanced level, and with excellent organizational leadership ability.
